Request Account & Data Deletion

Under Google Play Store User Data policies, you have the absolute right to request the permanent deletion of your account and personal data from Dhurmit (Committee Ledger).

Important Data Policy Notice: Once your deletion request is processed, your login credentials, personal profile, device push notification tokens, and contact identifiers are permanently purged from our active databases.

How Account Deletion Works

1. Option A: In-App Immediate Deletion

If you still have the Dhurmit application installed on your Android device:

  1. Open Dhurmit and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to Settings > Account & Security.
  3. Tap Delete Account & Purge Data.
  4. Confirm by entering your password or verifying your registered email OTP.
  5. Your account will be deactivated immediately and scheduled for purge.

2. Option B: Web Request (No App Re-installation Needed)

If you have uninstalled the app or lost your mobile device, submit the web request form on this page. Our compliance officer will verify your email ownership and process the deletion within 7 business days.

Data Retention & Anonymization Details

To maintain cryptographic integrity and mathematical balance for other members of active committees, historical ledger entries are handled as follows:

  • Personal Identity (Purged): Your name, email address, password hash, phone number, and device tokens are completely removed.
  • Shared Committee Records (Anonymized): Prior contribution entries recorded in committees where other participants have financial stakes are scrubbed of personal identifiers and renamed to "Former Member (Anonymized)" so the historical cash ledger continues to reconcile mathematically without breaking other participants' records.
  • Solo/Personal Workspaces: If you are the sole organizer of an unshared committee, the entire committee and all its records are permanently and irrecoverably erased.
